Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 were launched in China on Sunday, more than a week after the smartphones were scheduled to launch. Xiaomi’s new flagship smartphone series is powered by Qualcomm’s latest high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and features Leica-branded rear cameras. The Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 come in four color options and they bring a list of upgrades over last year’s Xiaomi 12 models, including 120Hz OLED displays, a 32-megapixel selfie camera, and a IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The newly launched Xiaomi 13 Pro packs a 4820mAh battery supporting 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, while the vanilla Xiaomi 13 comes with a 4500mAh battery supporting 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The price of the Xiaomi 13 Pro starts at CNY 4,999 (around Rs. 59,000) for the 8GB + 128GB variant and the 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at CNY 5,399 (around Rs. 64,000). The 12GB + 256GB model is priced at CNY 5,799 (around Rs. 68,700), and finally, the top-end model with 12GB + 512GB is priced at CNY 6,299 (around Rs. 74,600).
The Xiaomi 13 is priced at CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs. 47,300) for the base 8GB + 128GB variant, CNY 4,299 (approx. Rs. 51,000) for the 8GB + 256GB variant and CNY 4,599 (approx. Rs. 54,500) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. The high-end variant with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at CNY 4,999 (approx. Rs. 59,000).
Both smartphones are available in Ceramic White, Ceramic Black, Flora Green (Ceramic) and Mountain Blue color options. Both Xiaomi devices are available for pre-order now and will go on sale in China from December 14.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro dual SIM (Nano-SIM) runs on MIUI 14 and features a 6.73-inch 2K OLED display (1440 x 3200 pixels) with Dolby Vision, HDR10+ support, touch sampling rate up to 240 Hz and up to 120 Hz refresh rate. The display is rated to deliver up to 1,900 nits of peak brightness and offers DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. It has Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core 4nm SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro sports a Leica-branded triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel 1-inch Sony IMX989 main sensor with HyperOIS and f/1.9 aperture. The camera also includes a floating 50-megapixel 75mm telephoto sensor with OIS and EIS support and an f/2 aperture and a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor with a 115 angle of view. degrees and an f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, Xiaomi has packed a 32-megapixel sensor on the front.

The vanilla Xiaomi 13 features the same SIM, software, and hardware specs as the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The vanilla model features a 6.36 inch OLED display (1080 x 2400 pixels) with up to 120Hz refresh rate, up to 240Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 coverage of the color gamut and 1,900 nits of peak brightness. The display also offers HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision. It’s also powered by a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Additionally, it has a dedicated 4,642 square millimeter VC liquid cooling area for better thermal management while gaming.
For optics, the Xiaomi 13 has a triple rear camera with a Leica touch. It features a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, 23mm focal length and HyperOIS, a 10-megapixel secondary sensor with OIS and an f/2.0 aperture, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. /2.2.
