Xbox Game Pass Trends in Twitter Following Community’s Overwhelming Support; Xbox’s Top Execs React

Microsoft completely revolutionized gaming when it introduced the Game Pass for its Xbox consoles. It has since been hailed as one of the best gaming services and sets the Microsoft gaming division apart from all its competitors. It is a major selling point for the Xbox since it offers a variety of popular games at an affordable monthly cost.

Naturally, the Game Pass is not a secret to gamers anymore. However, with the launch of the Series X|S consoles last year, the popularity of the subscription service has increased massively. Many developers have produced new titles utilizing the next-gen abilities of these consoles. This has given Microsoft the opportunity to offer a plethora of new games on the Game Pass.

Given the popularity of the service, it wouldn’t be surprising that it suddenly started trending on social media last night. It was the accidental efforts of a YouTuber and a journalist that got #xboxgamepass trending on Twitter.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer acknowledges the trending hashtag

As #xboxgamepass took Twitter by storm, it caught the attention of various users. Naturally, the official Twitter account of the gaming console also tweeted out the hashtag to join in on the trend. Following this, two Xbox executives also acknowledged the trending hashtag and expressed their gratitude towards the fans.

The first person to tweet about Game Pass’s rise to the trend was none other than the Xbox boss, Phil Spencer. He appreciated everything that the community has done for the console and the service. Moreover, he also admitted that the constant support for the Game Pass motivates Microsoft to keep on improving the service.

After Phil’s tweet, Aaron Greenberg, GM, Xbox Games Marketing & Home Appliance Visionary at Microsoft, also followed suit. The executive took time out of his vacation and posted an edited image of himself as Indiana Jones to thank all the Xbox fans for making this possible. Moreover, he also changed his Twitter name to ‘Aaron “Day One On Game Pass” Greenberg’ to show his excitement.

Naturally, the arrival of Halo Infinite, Battlefield 2042, and all the other games announced at E3 2021 make the Game Pass a lucrative subscription to have. Most of these games would arrive at the pass on day one of their launches, offering players a variety of games to choose from.
