
World champion Houston Astros drafts Samsung to elevate Minute Maid Park with cutting-edge technology – Samsung Global Newsroom

World-class digital displays and Samsung solutions to create an immersive gaming experience for fans with state-of-the-art stadium upgrades including a new main video scoreboard
Samsung Electronics and the Houston Astros today announced that they will digitally enhance Minute Maid Park with display technology designed to further enhance the fan experience. Samsung, a leader in digital signage innovation, will provide some of the highest definition large-scale displays in gaming, so fans can expect to be immersed in the action like never before. The multi-year deal will see new outdoor LED technology in both the infield and outfield in time for the 2023 season, including an all-new main scoreboard with dynamic content.

After their title-winning season, the Houston Astros will return to the stadium in 2023 with upgraded screens and solutions from Samsung – including the main outfield screen, ribbons, center field mezzanine and more. Installation at Minute Maid Park began in November 2022, with expected completion by opening day 2023, so fans can enjoy high-end technology designed for interactivity and engagement.
Samsung is a leading digital solutions provider in the sports industry, enhancing venues across the country with its technology, such as video walls, interactive displays, and outdoor and indoor LEDs. The goal of the partnership is to take the fan experience at Minute Maid Park to the next level with these digital enhancements.

Besides Minute Maid Park, Samsung’s sports partnerships include Citi Field (Queens, New York), Chase Center (San Francisco, CA), SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles, CA) and M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore, Maryland).
