Wolves expected to go back in for Kieffer Moore after Cardiff reject bid

Wolves need goals

Wolves have been one of the most unlucky sides in the Premier League so far this term.

Under new boss Bruno Lage, Wolves are playing some eye-catching attacking football and creating their fair share of chances.

However, the Midlands-based outfit are struggling to find the back of the net. In fact, they are yet to score a single goal in the league this season, losing all three of their Premier League ties 1-0 in 2021/22.

This comes with Wolves having an xG of 4.87 already this campaign.

In comparison, Manchester United currently have an xG of 3.6 in the league this term, but have scored seven goals.

Wolves linked with Cardiff striker

To help solve their lack of goals, they have already brought in Hee-chan Hwang from RB Leipzig.

And now, it appears that Lage and co. are looking to add another centre-forward to their ranks before the window shuts later this evening.

That player, according to the Telegraph’s John Percy, is Cardiff striker Kieffer Moore, who talks are said to be ongoing over:

David Ornstein would then confirm that Cardiff rejected Wolves’ offer for Moore as they wanted a higher fee, but the Premier League outfit are expected to go back in with another bid:

Moore has featured 49 times for the Championship outfit since he joined them. In said ties, he has scored 21 goals and provided four assists.

Moore also has 21 international caps for Wales, who he has found the net for on six occasions.
