Why Tuchel was livid with Cesar Azpilicueta during Chelsea’s draw with Brighton
Brighton vs Chelsea
Chelsea faced off with Graham Potter’s Brighton on Tuesday evening.
Chelsea headed into the game a full 13 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City, who the Blues lost to last weekend.
As a result, Thomas Tuchel and co. really needed a win to ensure they kept some sort of pace with the champions.
However, when all was said and done at the Amex, Brighton were able to earn a 1-1 draw, and may even feel somewhat aggrieved by the fact they didn’t end up with all three points.
Very much against the run of play, Hakim Ziyech fired Chelsea into the lead after 28 minutes on Tuesday.

Brighton, though, did not give up and continued to cause Chelsea all sorts of issues on the day, eventually being rewarded for their efforts 60 minutes in when Adam Webster smashed a free header into the back of Kepa Arrizabalag’s net.

The result means Chelsea could fall a full 15 points behind Manchester City if the Sky Blues win their game in hand.
Why Tuchel was livid with Azpilicueta
During the game, Thomas Tuchel would, understandably, cut a frustrated figure.
And now, football.london have revealed why the German was livid with Cesar Azpilicueta.
They report that Tuchel was livid with his players from the get-go and whilst he usually aims fire at the players nearest to him, Cesar Azpilicueta bore the brunt of it to begin with, and he was all the way on the other side of the pitch.
They add that a number of wasteful passes from Azpilicueta drew the ire of his head coach.
