Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has provided explanations for the respective absences of Rodrigo and Robin Koch from his matchday squad to face Everton.
Spoils shared
The Whites were back in action a short time ago.
Bielsa and co. welcomed Everton to Elland Road, for the club’s 2nd Premier League outing of the campaign.
Leeds headed into proceedings eyeing a bounce-back performance, and result, on the back of a harrowing 5-1 opening day defeat at the hands of Manchester United last weekend.
And, when all was said and done in West Yorkshire, though the hosts were forced to settle for a share of the spoils, they did look much improved.
A pulsating 2-2 stalemate was ultimately forthcoming, after Raphinha’s pinpoint left-footed effort 20 minutes from time cancelled out strikes from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Demarai Gray, either side of Mateusz Klich’s finish shortly before the interval.

Whites stars miss out
Leeds’ comeback draw this afternoon, however, came with Marcelo Bielsa having been unable to call on a key pair of members of his first-team setup.
The players in question? Attacker Rodrigo and versatile defender Robin Koch.
In turn, speaking on the back of the action coming to a close at Elland Road, the Peacocks’ boss was inevitably drawn on the whereabouts of the duo.
And Bielsa went on to reveal that Rodrigo has picked up a muscular issue, whilst Koch missed out with ‘pain in his pubis’:
Bielsa satisfied with the fight and result. Thought Leeds should have created more with all the possession they had. Thought Everton were able to create too much.
Rodrigo had a muscular injury earlier this week. No laughing at the back but Koch was out with “pain in his pubis”.
