Why Ricardo Pereira is missing for Leicester vs Chelsea
Brendan Rodgers has explained why Ricardo Pereira is missing from Leicester’s matchday squad on Saturday vs Chelsea.
Leicester vs Chelsea
Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off will see Leicester City and Chelsea face off at the King Power Stadium.
It is Chelsea who head into the weekend’s action in the better form of the sides. The Blues are currently top of the Premier League table, having secured 26 points from their opening 11 league games of the campaign.
Thomas Tuchel’s men are also the top scorers in the division at present, whilst being in possession of the best defensive record – shipping just four goals in 11, too.
Leicester, on the other hand, have had a fairly rocky start to the campaign.
The Foxes begin the gameweek’s action down in 12th in the English top-flight, having won just two of their last five outings.
Brendan Rodgers and co. will, though, no doubt take solace in the fact that they downed Chelsea earlier this year to lift the FA Cup.

The Leicester line-up was pretty standard, but Ricardo Pereira was an unexplained absentee for the game.
However, Rodgers has since provided an explanation for the defender missing out on the game, confirming that the Portuguese has a hamstring issue:
