Why Lionel Messi has been spotted back in Barcelona
Lionel Messi has caught the headlines for a number of reasons over the weekend.
The Argentine would, of course, leave FC Barcelona this past summer on a free transfer, joining PSG in the process.
However, Messi clearly still has the city in his heart and has now been spotted in Barcelona’s airport:

The reason for this is said to be because Messi is celebrating his wife Antonela Roccuzzo’s birthday, which is February 26th:

Lionel Messi stars for PSG vs St Etienne
Before jetting off to Barcelona, Lionel Messi was in action for PSG in Ligue 1 vs St Etienne.
PSG would win the clash 3-1 and Messi was a key reason why.
Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring for PSG after 41 minutes, but it was Messi’s clear through ball that made the goal possible:
