Why Kante didn’t travel to Sweden & update on Chelsea midfielder’s availability for Burnley
Malmo vs Chelsea
Chelsea are set to take on Swedish side Malmo in a Champions League clash shortly.
The Blues head into the game sat second in Group H, three points behind table-topping Juventus, who beat Chelsea 1-0 in their previous meeting, with three games left to play.
As a result, if Chelsea wish to top their CL group, a win on Tuesday is almost imperative.

Why Kante didn’t travel to face Malmo & update on his availability for Burnley clash
Ahead of the tie, Chelsea would release their matchday squad an hour before kick-off.
Despite Malmo being the weakest side in Chelsea’s group – they are yet to net a single goal in three matches so far – Thomas Tuchel still opted for a strong squad on the day:

However, there was one big omission in the form of N’Golo Kante, who also missed out vs Norwich.
Now though, an explanation for the Frenchman not traveling to Malmo has been provided by Simon Johnson, who stated that the midfielder complained of some muscle tightness in training on Monday, but, crucially, should be fine to face Burnley at the weekend:
N’Golo Kante complained of some muscle tightness in training yesterday which is why he didn’t travel with the #CFC squad to face Malmo tonight. A repeat of the Norwich absence. Just a precaution, should be fine for Burnley. #MALCHE
