Why Jorginho got angry with Timo Werner during Chelsea’s win over Plymouth

Timo Werner would draw the ire of two Chelsea teammates during the Blues’ most recent outing, according to reports.

Chelsea would face off with Plymouth on Saturday afternoon in an FA Cup 4th round clash.

The tie seemed destined to end in 90 minutes with Chelsea progressing with ease.

However, the League One outfit actually caused Chelsea all sorts of issues on the day and even took and early lead.

Chelsea eventually found an equaliser via Cesar Azpilicueta 41 minutes into the game, but couldn’t find a second in 90 minutes.

And, despite having several forwards on the pitch, it would once again be a defender who came to Chelsea’s rescue in extra time as Marcos Alonso scored the winner after 106 minutes of action.

Following the game, football.london have revealed that Werner had drawn the ire of Chelsea teammate Jorginho during the additional 30 minutes on Saturday.

As FL explain, the Italian shouted at Werner for not showing for a pass as Chelsea attempted to escape Plymouth pressure in their own defensive third.

Elsewhere,  Werner also angered Lukaku with the Belgian furious with his fellow striker for pulling out of a challenge after the ball had been played through.

Chelsea’s striking problem

Though Lukaku was also seemingly angry with Werner on Saturday, the Belgian’s display was not much better.

Lukaku looks a shell of his former self of late and was arguably Chelsea’s worst player vs Plymouth.

And with Chelsea’s two best wing-backs still out of action, it is hard to see where too many of their goals will come from going forward.
