Arsenal confirm Premier League squad

Ahead of their meeting with Norwich, Arsenal have officially confirmed their Premier League squad for the 2021/22 season.

The Gunners would have a fairly active summer transfer window, that led to them being the biggest spenders in the English top-flight.

They would strengthen in numerous areas across the pitch including at left-back, goalkeeper, central midfield, right-back and in central midfield.

For all their spending, though, Arsenal have yet to pick up a single point in the league so far this term, something they will be no doubt desperate to change vs Norwich.

And, as mentioned above, the Gunners have announced their Premier League squad for 2021/22, which can be seen in full below:

Goalkeepers: Bernd Leno, Aaron Ramsdale

Defenders: Cedric Soares, Calum Chambers, Gabriel Magalhaes, Rob Holding, Sead Kolasinac, Pablo Mari, Kieran Tierney, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White

Midfielders: Mohamed Elneny, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Martin Odegaard, Thomas Partey, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Granit Xhaka

Forwards: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Eddie Nketiah, Nicolas Pepe

Why Saka, Smith Rowe & more are not in Arsenal squad

For regular viewers of Arsenal, it is fairly obvious that several big names are missing.

The most noticeable of course being Emile Smith Rowe and England star, Bukayo Saka.

Elsewhere, new signing Nuno Tavares and Gabriel Martinelli are both also absent from the squad.

However, Arsenal fans need not fret, as there is a very simple explanation for why said players are not named in the PL squad.

As per football.london:

There is a very good reason for their omission from the 25-man list though and that is according to Premier League rules, any player under the age of 21 are not required to take up a space.
