An explanation for Daniel Podence missing out on Wolves’ clash with Norwich City has been provided.

Wolves are set to face off with Norwich City in a Premier League clash shortly.
Bruno Lage and co. have had a solid start to the campaign and kicked off at Carrow Road 6th in the Premier League table.
However, they are now facing something of a new-look Norwich side.
The Canaries had a torrid start to the campaign which saw them fail to pick up a single win in their first 11 league games of the campaign.
But they would then see off Brentford in Daniel Farke’s last game as manager. Then, this past weekend vs Southampton, Dean Smith would take charge of his first game as Norwich boss and come away with a 2-1 win.
So, whilst a Wolves win does seem likely on paper, the tie may be closer than people are expecting.

Why Daniel Podence is missing for Wolves vs Norwich
Ahead of the match, Wolves would release their starting line-up an hour before kick-off.
The matchday squad was pretty standard, though there was a fairly strange omission in the form of Daniel Podence. Lage did not mention any issue with the winger in his pre-Norwich press conference and there has been no reports of an injury.

Now though, an explanation for Podence missing out on the tie has been provided by The Athletic’s Tim Spires who has reported that the Portuguese has Covid-19:
