Antonio stars for West Ham
Michail Antonio has had a simply sensation start to the 2021/22 Premier League campaign with West Ham.
The Hammers would begin their season by coming from 2-1 down to beat Newcastle United 4-2, with Antonio scoring one goal and providing one assist in that clash.
David Moyes and co. then took on Leicester City, beating them 4-1 with Antonio netting a brace and providing one assist.
Then, in their final clash before the international break, West Ham would draw 2-2 with Crystal Palace.
Antonio was involved in both the Hammers’ goals, scoring one and assisting one.

Now, in not at all surprising news, Antonio has been rewarded for his fine start to the campaign.
As revealed on Friday, the 31-year-old has been named as the Premier League Player of the Month for August.
Antonio beat out some serious competition, topping a six-man shortlist that also included Marcos Alonso, Said Benrahma, Eric Dier, Demarai Gray and Mason Greenwood.
After winning the award, Antonio stated:
“It’s amazing, to be fair. I go out and do my job and to get the gratitude and awards for doing it is amazing.
“August was just another month, you know! To be fair, it’s amazing. I saw that I was quite close to becoming the record holder and I’ve been going for it and now I want to get as far ahead as possible so nobody can catch me!”
