Weekly poll results: Motorola Edge 40 Pro is off to a strong start

Nearly half of voters in last week’s poll are interested in the Motorola Edge 40 Pro, although many of them were waiting to make a final decision until reviews were released. If you are one of them, check out our review (including video).
Spoiler alert: it’s a great high-end phone, although the camera doesn’t measure up to some of the more camera-oriented flagships. And while the Moto is cheaper than these, it’s not exactly cheap at €900/£800.
About 17% of voters felt that the price could be a little lower and that the cost of the Edge models goes down over time while the phones themselves age gracefully. Especially now that Motorola is promising 3 OS updates and 4 years of security patches for the Edge 40 Pro. It’s not the longest support time, but it’s much better than older Motos.
There wasn’t much interest in the vanilla Moto Edge 40, which has yet to be unveiled. This one is rumored to cost €600, although it also has less capable hardware. The popularity of the vanilla model is a question for another time, however.
A few people have asked about an Ultra variant – we haven’t heard anything about that yet, nor is there a Moto X40 Pro. A new Ultra with an improved camera might find an audience among those who aren’t happy with the Pro’s imaging capabilities.
