Weekly Poll: Realme 10 Pro and Realme 10 Pro+ global sales start soon, who will get one?

The Realme 10 Pro and Pro+ make their global debut with sales set to begin next week. Are you interested in picking one up? The vanilla Realme 10 failed to attract many fans, but the Pro duo is much more capable. Let’s take a closer look.

The Realme 10 Pro will start at $320 for an 8/128GB unit, the Pro+ model will cost $380/€380 with the same memory configuration. In India, the 10 Pro will have 6/128 GB memory and will start at ₹19,000, the Realme 10 Pro+ also loses two GB of RAM and the base model costs ₹26,000 (sales on Flipkart start on December 16 and December 14, respectively).

Realme 10 Pro and Realme 10 Pro+ price for India

The price gap in India is over 35%, so the Pro+ had better show something. Compared to the regular Pro, however, it has an AMOLED screen instead of an IPS LCD (both 120Hz FHD+). This is a higher quality display – it renders 10-bit color with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and is brighter to boot (800 nits vs 680 nits).

Another crucial difference is that the Pro has a flat screen; the Pro+ screen is curved. However, neither has reinforced glass (and neither phone has an IP rating).

The Pro+ model also has a more powerful chipset, the Dimensity 1080 beats the Snapdragon 695 in CPU and GPU benchmarks. On the other hand, only the Realme 10 Pro has a microSD slot and a 3.5mm jack.

In short: Realme 10 Pro and 10 Pro+

Both phones use a 108MP primary camera with an ISOCELL HM6, a 1/1.67″ sensor with 0.64µm pixels, and 9-in-1 binning support. The Pro+ also has a 8MP ultra wide camera (112°) Both phones have 16MP selfie cameras.

One final plus for the Pro+ – while both phones have 5,000mAh batteries, the plus model supports a higher 67W charge rate, compared to 33W for the regular Pro (neither has wireless charging).

Is it worth 35% more? You tell us, but before we go to the vote, we should cover the competition first. And as you can imagine, it depends on where you live.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ Global has a similar 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, and although it uses the older Dimensity 920, the speed disadvantage isn’t huge. This one has a microSD slot, a 3.5mm jack, and even an IP53 and Gorilla Glass 5 rating. The 4,500mAh battery is smaller but charges faster at 120W. The Note 11 Pro+ is at 380 € on the official website, but it is easily found at 350 €.

There’s also a version for India, which upgrades to the slower Snapdragon 695 chipset, and the battery is 5,000mAh with 67W charging. This one costs ₹20,000, so it’s more about a competitor to Realme 10 Pro (except it has an 8MP ultra-wide camera and other advantages over the regular Pro).

A Samsung Galaxy A53 5G has a 6.5-inch 120Hz AMOLED display (not a 10-bit panel, though), also with Gorilla Glass 5 and a more serious IP67 rating. The Exynos 1280 chipset is a bit slower than the Dimensity, but you get expandable storage (no 3.5mm jack). The main camera has a less impressive 64MP main sensor, on the plus side it has OIS. The ultra-wide module has a 12MP sensor and a wider 123° lens. The 5,000 mAh battery supports a relatively slow charge of 25 W.

Nevertheless, you will receive 3 OS updates (from Android 13) and 5 years of security patches. The phone can be found for less than €350 in Europe, but it’s quite expensive in India.

A Poco X4 GT is a bit more expensive than the Realme 10; it is found around 350€ in Europe. It has a faster 6.6″ 144Hz display (HDR10, GG5) and a more powerful Dimensity 8100 chipset. There’s no expandable storage, but there’s a 3.5mm jack The 5,080mAh battery has 67W charging. The 64MP main camera is nothing special, but there is an 8MP ultra-wide module on board.

The X4 GT is not available in India, but the Poco X4 Pro 5G is and costs around ₹17,500 for a 6/128GB unit. It has a 6.67-inch 120Hz (GG5 ) and the same Snapdragon 695 (plus expandable storage and a 3.5mm jack). The Indian version has a 64MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide, as well as a 5,000mAh battery with 67W charging.

Xiaomi Poco X4 GT • Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G • OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite costs around €250 in Europe, ₹19,000 in India. It has a similar 6.59-inch 120Hz IPS LCD display and the same Snapdragon 695 (with expandable storage and 3.5mm jack). The camera is a basic 64MP shooter and lacks an ultra-wide companion. The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and charges at 33 W.
