Andrew Taylor’s hosts headed into proceedings no doubt desperate for all three points, sitting third from bottom in the PL2 table with just six wins to their name all season.
Monday night, though, saw Leeds’ latest crop of up-and-coming talent provide a reminder of their true abilities.
A fine display ultimately culminated in the Yorkshire outfit emerging on the right side of a 4-0 scoreline, to climb clear of both Blackburn and Everton into 10th.
And, as alluded to above, it was that man Summerville who stole the show.
The 20-year-old bagged both the game’s opener and 2nd courtesy of sumptuous bending strikes off either foot, before capping off a wonderful individual showing with a hat-trick-clinching 3rd late on.

Harrison’s strike not enough
Leeds’ U23s returning to winning ways of course comes fresh on the back of the club’s senior stars seeing their own rare stretch of successive Premier League victories brought to an end by Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton over the weekend.
