Wales fans look away… timescale for Gareth Bale’s recovery provided

Wales fans look away… timescale for Gareth Bale’s recovery provided

Gareth Bale suffers injury

Gareth Bale starred for Wales as they enjoyed a fine victory over Belarus in their World Cup qualifying campaign, netting a hat-trick in their 3-2 win.

This means that the Welsh currently sit third in Group E, level on points with the Czech Republic but having played a game fewer than the side above them.

However, reports soon emerged that star man Bale had suffered an injury in Madrid, which was described as:

“A long-term injury to the hamstrings of his right leg.”

Timescale for return provided

Following the disappointment, a timescale for Gareth Bale’s return has been provided by Spanish press, and it spells bad news for Wales supporters.

As per Miguel Angel Diaz:

“Gareth Bale will be out between 8 and 10 weeks due to the rupture in the hamstrings of his right leg that occurred today just 1 week ago.”

This will rule Bale out of all of Wales’ remaining World Cup 2022 Qualifying fixtures if the timescale proves to be correct, issuing a hammer blow to the Welsh national side as well as domestic side Real Madrid.

Will Bale look to beat this recovery time to make himself fit for their push for qualification?
