Video: Real Madrid pair Bale & Alaba’s post-game exchange after Wales’ win over Austria
Footage of Real Madrid stars Gareth Bale and David Alaba embracing on the back of the showdown between Wales and Austria on Thursday evening has come to the fore online.
The clip in question of course comes after Wales, courtesy of the brilliance of their talismanic wide-man, kept the nation’s hopes of a spot at the 2022 Qatar World Cup alive just shy of 24 hours ago.
A hard-fought 90 minutes at the Cardiff City Stadium ultimately saw a stunning Bale brace prove the difference, a timely reminder to any who may have forgotten just how explosive the 32-year-old remains on his day:

Whilst Wales march on, though, Austria’s road to Qatar has now officially come to an end.
This means that the aforementioned David Alaba will play no part at the latest edition of world football’s most high-profile international tournament.
In turn, it came as little surprise to see Bale, the stopper’s teammate at Real Madrid, seek out his fellow Blancos star post-match, culminating in the following heartfelt exchange between the pair:

Scotland showdown?
Wales’ victory on Thursday night means that the Dragons now need navigate just one more fixture to book their spot at the Qatar World Cup.
Standing in the way of Robert Page’s troops will be one of Scotland or Ukraine, who saw their scheduled meeting this week postponed to a later date amid the ongoing Russian invasion of the latter.
There is hope that the clash will ultimately be given the green light for some point in June, before Wales take on the victors in the weeks to follow.
