A video making rounds on social media and has raised eyebrows shows a Nigerian man’s body resisting a cut from a machete after allegedly undergoing a ritual allegedly called ‘odeshi’.
The ‘odeshi’ ritual is said to involve fetish black magic powers that “protects” one from harmful things, and it is mostly used by thugs and armed robbers.
In the said video, the man stood still as his colleague tested the potency of the odeshi by hitting him with the machete. The machete bounced off without inflicting any injury on him.
