The Tottenham Hotspur contingent in attendance at the club’s meeting with Watford earlier today were quick to make their appreciation for midfielder Oliver Skipp clear on the back of the full-time whistle.
Sanchez makes the difference
Antonio Conte’s men were of course back in action earlier this afternoon.
In search of a return to winning ways on the back of a disappointing stalemate with Southampton last time out, Spurs made the trip to Vicarage Road, for a meeting with Claudio Ranieri’s Watford.
And, upon the final whistle sounding, secure all three points is precisely what the visitors had managed.
A tense affair on the day was ultimately decided deep into injury-time, as Heung-min Son’s whipped set-piece delivery was met by Davinson Sanchez, who nodded beyond the helpless Daniel Bachmann in confident fashion:

‘Ollie Skipp!’
In turn, on the back of what could yet prove a crucial three points for their side at Vicarage Road, it should come as little surprise to hear that those of a Tottenham persuasion in attendance at Sunday’s clash were in jubilant mood following the full-time whistle.
A host of players were celebrated with cheers and chants alike, with one particular effort having since piqued widespread attentions online.
The chant in question saw the Spurs faithful quite literally sing the praises of midfielder Oliver Skipp, on the back of another starring display in the middle of the park.
A rendition of ‘Ollie, Ollie Skipp’ could be heard ringing around south Hertfordshire, with footage, by way of one individual in the thick of the action, showcased below:
