Video: Fans attack Koeman’s car as Barcelona boss attempts to leave Camp Nou following record-breaking Clasico defeat
Footage of Barcelona’s supporters mobbing the car of manager Ronald Koeman as the Dutchman attempted to depart the club’s stadium this evening has begun turning heads across social media.
Alaba & Vazquez on target
Koeman of course led his side back into action a short time ago.
On the back of a mini resurgence of sorts since the international break, the Blaugrana welcomed fierce rivals Real Madrid to the Camp Nou, aiming to make it three wins from three across all competitions.
When all was said and done on Sunday afternoon, however, Barca were brought plummeting firmly back down to earth.
An altogether underwhelming display ultimately culminated in the hosts being put to the sword by two goals to one, to slip five points adrift of Carlo Ancelotti’s table-topping Blancos.
Strikes from David Alaba and Lucas Vazquez made the difference on the day, with Sergio Aguero’s injury-time effort representing little more than a consolation upon the final whistle sounding.
What a way for David Alaba to announce himself in #ElClasico! 😱😱

Koeman targeted
Barcelona, in turn, have slipped back to the depths of mid-table in La Liga, amid another dark day in the recent history of the crestfallen Catalan powerhouse.
It should therefore not come as too much of a surprise to hear that a host of key individuals at the club have since been targeted by the Blaugrana faithful, with the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets and Sergino Dest having all been singled out for heavy criticism on Sunday.
Without doubt the most widely condemned, however, has been boss Ronald Koeman.
This comes after the following statistic came to light online, unveiling the fact that the Dutchman has been responsible for the worst Clasico start on the part of a manager in Barca’s storied history:

As outlined above, however, in the aftermath of this evening’s action at the Camp Nou, the home support allowed their emotions to get the best of them, amid frankly unacceptable scenes.
In footage doing the rounds across social media, Koeman, in his attempts to depart the stadium, can be seen being mobbed by Barcelona’s fans, who surrounded the tactician’s car to hurl abuse of both a verbal and physical nature in his direction:
