The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G smartphone was launched by the South Korean conglomerate in January 2021, as the company’s most affordable smartphone offering at its time. Samsung’s budget A-series smartphone was launched with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. However, a user reportedly modified the standard Samsung Galaxy A32 5G with a massive physical battery that has six times more backup capacity than the original battery that comes with the smartphone.

According to a report by 9to5Google, a Reddit user who goes by the handle u/Downtown_Cranberry44 claims to have modified the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G smartphone from 2021 with a 30,000 mAh battery, replacing the original 5,000 mAh battery delivered with the smartphone. With the modified battery, the aforementioned user’s smartphone has six times the battery capacity of the original.

The stock 5000 mAh battery of the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G itself is supposed to offer a full day of use when charged to 100%, and now with the 30000 mAh battery the smartphone could practically last a week or two on a single charge, the report claims.

The user would have achieved this feat by using Samsung 50e battery cells, which could have cost the user around $5 (roughly Rs. 400) each. The weight of the modified phone has also increased considerably due to the additional 50th batteries that have been used to achieve the battery capacity of 30,000 mAh, which visibly appears as an extremely bulky addition to the rear of the modified Samsung Galaxy A32 5G smartphone , the report adds.

The mod is also said to feature two USB Type-A output ports, USB Type-C, microUSB, and Lightning ports that essentially convert extra batteries into a charging station or power bank for charging a range of other devices.

However, the report adds that it is important to note that the method used by the Reddit user is not exactly safe, as it could be extremely susceptible to battery damage and fire hazards. Users must therefore refrain from undertaking such activities which could put their safety and that of others at risk.
