Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez has, on Friday, provided updates on the wellbeing of both Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres.
Barca, of course, are set to return to action tomorrow evening.
After making it two wins from two since the turn of the year owing to a 2-1 Copa del Rey downing of Linares Deportivo in midweek, Xavi and co. will turn their attentions back towards matters on the La Liga front.
A trip to Los Carmenes to face Granada lies in wait, with the Blaugrana aware that, despite their difficulties to this point in the campaign, another victory will, at least temporarily, guide them back into the top-4 in the Spanish top-flight.
Despite the crucial nature of Saturday’s outing to their side’s Champions League hopes, though, many of a Barcelona persuasion are no doubt already looking beyond Granada, towards midweek.
This comes with the Catalan giants primed to play out the latest edition of El Clasico, in a Spanish Super Cup semi-final showdown with Real Madrid.
And, evidently, boss Xavi has too got one eye firmly on the upcoming action at the The King Fahd Stadium.
Speaking in a press conference this afternoon, Barca’s boss was drawn on the possibility of Ansu Fati, fresh off a month on the sidelines through injury, marking his return against Granada.
Xavi, however, went on to confirm that Ansu will in fact not be risked this weekend, with the gifted starlet instead in line to make his comeback next week, in the Clasico:

Another set to miss out on Saturday, meanwhile, is Ferran Torres.
Spanish international Torres, a January arrival at the Camp Nou from Manchester City, is yet to feature for his new employers, owing to a registration hold-up, followed by a bout of Covid-19.
And the Blaugrana faithful will not be afforded their first glimpse of Torres in the club’s colours at Los Carmenes, either, with the 21-year-old having returned his latest positive test for Covid earlier today:
Xavi: “Ferrán Torres has tested positive for COVID again today. He won’t be available tomorrow and Alemany is working to adjust the salary limit in order to be able to register him.” pic.twitter.com/XGcP9AqGnV
