Twitter launches ability to download 60-minute videos for blue subscribers: all the details

Twitter is rolling out the ability to upload up to 60 minutes of video for Twitter Blue subscribers. The microblogging site announced the update via its Twitter Blue page. The company says subscribers can now upload 60-minute videos. However, there is a twist, the feature is only available on the web at the moment and is not available on iOS or Android apps. Recently, Twitter also rolled out a new view count for tweets that allows users to see the actual number of views on a tweet exactly as it appears on videos.

According to details shared on Twitter community page, Twitter Blue subscribers will be able to share up to 60 minutes of video at 1080p resolution on the web. However, the video must be less than 2 GB in size. This feature is not available on the Twitter Android or iOS apps.

Previously, Twitter Blue subscribers were only allowed to upload 10-minute videos to the platform at 1080p resolution with a file size limit of 512MB. However, this has increased now. The new capability will also change the quality of the video for distribution.

The Twitter Blue subscription was relaunched earlier this month under new CEO Elon Musk. iOS users willing to opt in can subscribe to Twitter Blue by paying $11 (INR 910) per month, while web users will have to pay $8 (INR 660) per month. The Twitter Blue subscription provides early access to certain features, such as Edit Tweet, and other newer features before they’re available to everyone.

Meanwhile, Twitter also rolled out a View Count feature for tweets starting December 22. Elon Musk announced the rollout of the feature via a tweet. According to Elon Musk Tweeter, the view count for tweets will allow users to see how many times a tweet has been viewed. The feature is currently available on the web, as well as iOS and Android apps.
