Conte era underway

Developments on the Lilywhite half of north London have of course proven headline news over the course of the last ten days.

This comes with Daniel Levy and co. having pulled the trigger on an altogether impressive change on the club’s bench, replacing the faltering Nuno Espirito Santo with serial winner Antonio Conte.

The Italian has since gone on to steady the ship to at least some degree over his first two games in charge, securing a Europa Conference League victory over Vitesse, followed by a hard-fought Premier League point at Everton last Sunday.

Pizza off the menu

As alluded to above, though, if his latest actions are anything to go by, then Conte evidently remains some way off being satisfied with the current state of his newly inherited squad of players.

This comes amid claims that the ex-Juventus boss has been quick to lay down the law when it comes to the kind of foods which his players will no longer be permitted to eat.

As per a report from the reliable Kristof Terreur of Belgian outlet HLN, Conte has banned both pizza and fizzy drinks, as well as a range of dipping sauces.

Such measures were similarly introduced during the Italian tactician’s time across the capital whilst in charge of Chelsea, as Spurs’ stars become increasingly acquainted with the level of sacrifice which will be required to succeed under their new boss.
