Tottenham sack Nuno Espirito Santo, and reportedly set to hire Antonio Conte
In what has been a frenzied Monday, news broke this morning that Nuno Espirito Santo had been relieved of his duties by Tottenham Hotspur, following their third 3-0 loss of the season, and their fifth loss in seven Premier League games.

Unlike the summer, where a replacement took months to find, it seems as though Tottenham may have already lined up a replacement within hours, with Antonio Conte now widely reported to be on the verge of taking the reigns in North London.

Indeed, Conte is already believed to have been in London to finalise the move, no doubt helped by his longstanding relationship with new director of football Fabio Paratici, who joined the club in the summer.

Now, as per Matt Law of the Telegraph, further confirmation that a deal is imminent has been provided. As per the reporter, Tottenham’s playing staff, currently enjoying a recovery day, have been “told to prepare for the fact Conte could take training tomorrow”.

This will come as a massive boost for Spurs fans, who would have been worried about another long managerial hunt further derailing their Premier League season, but could well have changed boss within 24 hours.
For Manchester United fans, it must be a difficult pill to swallow.
