Tottenham director Fabio Paratici offers verdict on Pape Sarr

Tottenham director Fabio Paratici offers verdict on Pape Sarr

Tottenham sign Sarr

Tottenham had a fairly active summer transfer window that saw them focused on signing young players.

One of these would be Pape Sarr, who was signed for Ligue 1 outfit, Metz.

Sarr is just 18 years of age and has less than 50 senior appearances under his belt, so it was not too surprising to see the Lilywhites loan Sarr straight back to Metz for the 2021/22 campaign to allow him to gain some much-needed experience.

Sarr, a central midfielder by trade, is believed to have set the north London outfit back around €15m:

Paratici on Sarr

On the back of signing Sarr, Tottenham’s managing director Fabio Paratici has been speaking about the midfielder in a recent interview.

When doing so, Paratici stated that he thinks Sarr is one of the most talented in Europe.

He also voiced his opinion that Sarr was a great investment for Spurs and a great vision for the future:

“I think Pape is one of the most talented in Europe.

“Our job is not to look just at tomorrow, but maybe also past tomorrow or next year. I think we made a great signing. In all of Europe they speak about this, a lot of teams were interested, a lot of teams were there to sign (him), so we made a very good signing.

“He needs experience, he needs to play games, to stay in one team and play regularly – a great investment for the Club, and a great vision for the future.”
