Tottenham dealt double contract blow and midfield star wants out

Tottenham transfer news

In this article we will bring you all of today’s Tottenham Hotspur transfer news. Make sure to check back to the site for more daily transfer updates throughout the rest of this month.

Milenkovic deal breaks down

Tottenham have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Serbian centre back Milenkovic, with transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano now reporting that the defender is set to discuss a potential contract extension in Florence.

Were he to stay put, he would represent another dead end for both clubs, adding to the rejections that Tottenham have already suffered for Pau Torres and Jules Kounde this window.

With time running out before the August 31st deadline, will the club push hard enough to make the Serb reconsider his position and make the move to the Premier League, or do they have another trick up their sleeve?

Ndombele wants out

As per football insider, Harry Kane is not the only wantaway Tottenham player this summer, with midfielder Tanguy Ndombele now also looking to leave the club before the August 31st deadline.

The Frenchman, who has just become a father for the first time, took no part whatsoever in pre-season despite having no international commitments, and was conspicuously absent from the opening day victory over Manchester City.

In addition, the former Lyon man has not travelled to Portugal with his teammates to take on Pacos de Fereira in the qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.

Wanting to leave is all well and good, but as Kane has already proved this summer, forcing through a move away from Tottenham can prove incredibly difficult.

Lautaro Martinez set to sign new deal

Finally, it seems as though Spurs have been dealt a further transfer blow in their hunt for reinforcements, as Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the north London outfit have had a bid rejected for Lautaro Martinez.

To make matters worse, it appears as though the Argentine is set to renew his contract with Inter Milan, effectively ruling out a move for the 24 year old this summer.
