Tottenham contemplate AC Milan Franck Kessie/Tanguy Ndombele swap in January

Tanguy wants out

Amidst the drama surrounding the future of Harry Kane this summer, the future of Tanguy Ndombele has gone somewhat under the radar.

Now 24, Tottenham’s record signing did not play a part in pre-season, and has not featured in competitive action thus far, with it subsequently coming to light that he wanted to leave north London.

Spurs, however, were not keen for him to depart on the cheap, allegedly rejecting a player plus cash offer from Bayern Munich that would have seen Corentin Tolisso join the Lilywhites.

As a result, the wantaway man remains at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium for at least the first half of the 2021-22 campaign, and will have to work his way back into Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans.

AC Milan offer a potential way out

According to reports in Italy, Tottenham could do well to offer him as a potential makeweight in a deal for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

The Ivorian has impressed during his time with the Rossoneri, catching the eye of Liverpool as well as Spurs, but only has one year left to run on his current deal in Italy, and has rejected the latest Milanese offer.

Should his contract run out, he will likely have significantly more financially lucrative and higher calibre teams chasing his signature, meaning that Spurs could act in January.

As per Calcio Mercarto, a swap deal for Tanguy Ndombele would appeal to AC Milan, in turn adding to Tottenham’s midfield options with the talented Ivorian.

Is this something Spurs should do?
