Tottenham become latest club to consider move for Watford’s Ismaila Sarr
Sarr’s Watford stint
Watford secured Ismaila Sarr’s signature in the summer of 2019, from French outfit Stade Rennais.
The Hornets are believed to have paid £27m to bring the winger to Vicarage Road.
And even though Watford endured a pretty poor 2019/20, which eventually resulted in their relegation to the Championship, Sarr nevertheless enjoyed a solid season.
All told, the pacy winger managed to notch five goals and six assists in 28 league outings.
Sarr then went on to enjoy a solid 2020/21 campaign in the Championship, bagging 13 goals and 10 assists in 39 games as Watford secured a swift return to England’s premier division.
Tottenham interested in Sarr
Previously, several of England’s top clubs have been linked with the African.
The likes of Liverpool and Manchester United were credited with an interest in Sarr over the last year or so.
And now, it appears another of England’s top sides is showing an interest.
According to a recent report from Euro Sport, Tottenham have become the latest club to consider a move for Watford’s talisman. Euro Sport also mentioned United and Liverpool’s interest in the winger.
However, Spurs fans probably should not get too excited over a potential move for the 23-year-old. This comes with ES reporting that:
Sources are indicating that Sarr is not for sale – and that any club asking about his valuation will be told offers need to be well north of £50million.
