Top 10 Most Popular Reviews of 2022: Q3

After reviewing the most popular reviews from Q1 and Q2, it’s now time to recap which Q3 phones piqued your interest.

Let’s start with some of the obvious entries on the list, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4. Samsung foldables always generate a lot of hype, especially the big Fold family and the Fold4 was no exception. After it was announced on August 10, we immediately got to work reviewing it, and you, in turn, paid a lot of attention to it. However, it’s worth noting that the Galaxy Z Flip4 didn’t make the top ten. It was close, but still, it’s indicative of the difference between the audiences of the two phones.

The other obvious entries on the list are the new Apple iPhone models. Well, most of them it is. Both the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max got their fair share of the spotlight. The vanilla iPhone 14, however, did not make the top 10 reviews in Q3. He’s not even in the top 20. Apparently he hasn’t gotten as much love as his siblings. As for the iPhone 14 Plus, even though it was announced on September 7 alongside all the other iPhone 14 models, it went on sale a bit later in October and its review extended to fourth quarter, where he managed to climb to the top. ten.

Now for some less obvious phones on the list – the Nothing Phone (1) managed to really kick off the hype train. Whether or not it lived up to said hype and managed to generate huge sales is another story.

The Asus Zenfone 9 had the opposite story. It was never so hyped or aggressively advertised, but it still managed to generate some interest due to its unique compact flagship nature.

Speaking of compact flagships, the Xperia 5 IV also fits that description. But with an uncommon 21:9 aspect ratio. The Google Pixel 6a is another compact device to make the list. It’s got that familiar Google AOSP and computational photography prowess, so it’s no surprise it’s caught the eye.

You can’t have a top 10 of anything smartphone without Xiaomi. The Chinese giant is strongest when it comes to well-rounded mid-value devices, and the Xiaomi 12 Lite fits that description perfectly. But there was also the Xiaomi 12S Ultra – a beastly camera that got people talking all over the world even though it never left China.
