Chris Hemsworth, who starred in all four Thor movies – including the upcoming fourth installment Thor: Love and Thunder – are open to headlining Thor 5 if and when that happens. There is, however, a major caveat. Thor 5 will only happen if the new movie offers a fresh take on the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) mainstay. Hemsworth, however, wants to avoid doing the same thing over and over again, to make sure fans don’t get “too familiar” with the character. He jokingly added that he planned to say goodbye to Thor before he was asked.

Hemsworth told Total Film: “Every time, if the opportunity arises and arises, I’m just open to any creative exploration that can happen, through different writers and directors etc. But I love playing the character. , I really do. It always comes down to, “Is this script different from the previous one? Are we rehearsing something?” And when it gets too familiar, I think that’s when I should say, ‘Yeah, no, that doesn’t…I think I…I like to get out before people tell me to get out.”

While there’s no word yet on Thor 5, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige previously hinted that there’s plenty of room for it to come through stories featured in the comics. Feige said, “I know this: there are many, many other Thor stories in the comics that we talk about a lot. And as we watch Chris Hemsworth continue to grow and evolve as a major acting talent, I’d love to see how he continues to evolve this complex character.

One is likely to get more clarity on Thor’s future in the MCU after watching Thor: Love and Thunder, which pits Hemsworth’s god of thunder against Christian Bale’s ruthless villain, Gorr the Butcher God.

The fourth Thor The film debuts on July 8 in cinemas around the world. In India, Thor: Love and Thunder will be released a day earlier on July 7 in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Malayalam.
