‘This isn’t real’ – Man United fans left baffled by Fred’s moment of magic vs Uruguay
The Manchester United faithful have taken to social media on Friday, to provide their reactions to a moment of class on the part of midfielder Fred whilst on international duty this week.
Raphinha shining
Fred was back in action in the early hours of Friday, as Brazil played out their final fixture of the international break.
After dropping their first points of an otherwise flawless World Cup qualifying campaign versus Colombia last time out, the Selecao welcomed Uruguay to Manaus, eyeing a swift return to winning ways.
And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what Tite’s hosts managed.
A stellar display, which saw them make Uruguay look less than average, ultimately culminated in Brazil emerging on the right side of a 4-1 scoreline.
Leeds United wide-man Raphinha proved the star of the show, bagging a brace on his first-ever start for his country, whilst dovetailing to devastating effect with partner in crime Neymar:
What a night for @LUFC‘s Raphinha as he bags a brace!

World football’s most expensive player was too on target, marking his 70th goal for Brazil to move within seven strikes of all-time top-scorer Pele.
‘A simulation?’
As outlined above, though, it was not Neymar’s latest goal itself which subsequently caught the headlines, but instead the pass to set the 29-year-old up.
The moment in question came inside ten minutes at the Arena da Amazônia, when Manchester United star Fred picked the ball up deep inside the Uruguay half.
From here, the oft-criticised midfielder spotted the run of his captain, before carving open the visitors’ backline courtesy of a sumptuous dinked ball:

And the Manchester United faithful, in turn, have since responded to Fred’s moment of magic in their numbers.
Taking to social media, many have lightheartedly questioned whether the footage in question is in fact real, owing to the former Shakhtar Donetsk man’s generally less-than-reliable passing range whilst donning the colours of his club:
this ain’t real

Can’t be Fred, didn’t go into the stands. Unless he was actually playing it to the left winger.

Is this a simulation

When timeline wakes up we will see many hype up fluke assist by Fred…
Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for him but let’s not act like he can do that regularly.
