‘This Is the Game of Thrones, and I’m Going to Be the Queen’ – Kayla Harrison Warns the MMA World in an Intense Interview
Kayla Harrison just won her PFL 6 fight against Cindy Dandois via first-round submission. This meant that Harrison has qualified as the second seed fighter for the PFL’s upcoming lightweight playoffs. Harrison had also competed in the 2019 PFL women’s lightweight tournament and won.
Harrison has won every MMA fight she has competed in and has often looked unstoppable. Therefore, it came as no surprise that after her victory against Dandois, Harrison seemed confident about her MMA future.
During the post-fight interview, Harrison said, “Ya, first-round submission. I like to keep them guessing; you know. Keep working on stuff, keep improving little by little. I’m so far ahead of all these girls and its coz since I was 8 years old, I’ve been dropping people on their head. I mean, I conquered the Judo world, which no American was ever able to do and now I am here to conquer the MMA world. This is a game of thrones and I am going to be the Queen.”

Harrison has achieved much success in every combat sports tournament she has ever taken part in. The fighter won the 2010 World Judo Championship and has won golds at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. Add to that her gold medals at the 2011 and 2015 Pan American games and we can clearly see how well versed Harrison is in winning.
Genah Fabian and Larissa Pacheco do not impress Kayla Harrison
Harisson is all set to face Genah Fabian in her next fight. Fabian has won 3 consecutive fights and seems to be in expert touch. However, when Harrison was asked about the same, she did not seem worried at all about Fabian.
When asked whether anything that Fabian has done impressed her or would pause her, Harisson just replied with an emphatic ‘NO’.

Harrison also shared her views on Larissa Pacheco, who secured the No.1 seed for the PFL lightweight playoffs. Pacheco has also been in tremendous form winning her last 2 fights quickly via KO/TKO and therefore secured the N0.1 seed over Harrison. However, Harrison doesn’t seem to be impressed by Pacheco’s victories, as when asked whether Pacheco has impressed her, she again answered with a ‘NO’.
Kayla Harrison clearly seems to believe in herself and does not seem to be impressed by anything the other fighters are doing. However, seeing Harrison’s past performance, one can see the reasoning behind the fighter’s comments.
