ThinkPhone will also be available to end users in select countries

Motorola’s recently announced ThinkPhone is expected to hit business customers in the coming months, but now Roland Quandt reports that the phone will also be available to regular consumers in select countries. Quandt says the 8/256GB version will cost buyers €999 ($1,080) and will be available from the end of this month at electronics retailers although no specific store or country was mentioned.

The concept of a ThinkPhone has been rumored for years, with fans of the ThinkPad line of laptops patiently waiting to see it finally announced last week. The news that the device would be sold as a B2B exclusive was probably a disappointment for loyal fans, but the new report should give them hope. Lenovo/Motorola have not confirmed this information yet, so we have to wait for their response first.
