The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra should come with one less camera

Since 2021, Samsung has launched the Ultra models in its Galaxy S line that feature four rear cameras, two of which are telephoto – a 3x telephoto lens joined by a 10x periscope telephoto lens. But according to a reliable tipster ice universethat could change next year with the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The tipster claims that Samsung removed the 3x telephoto lens from the Galaxy S24 Ultra and “merged” it into the periscope telephoto lens. While ice universe doesn’t get any more specific than that, another tipster claims that Samsung ditched the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 3x telephoto lens and added a variable folded telephoto lens with 3x to 10x zoom.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
Last December, ice universe said Samsung would replace the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s telephoto sensor seen on previous models and “adopt a new solution.” Well, this 3-10x variable folded telephoto lens might be that new solution.
Even though this information comes from several sources, it is best to take it with a grain of salt and wait for more evidence to be sure that Samsung is removing the 3x telephoto camera from the Galaxy S24 Ultra since we are more than six months away from its unveiling and plans could always change.
