Eddie Howe has been speaking to the media ahead of Newcastle’s meeting with Brighton.
The Magpies are set to face off with Brighton at 3pm UK time in a Premier League clash.

Allan Saint-Maximin has been missing for Newcastle of late and, unfortunately for them, the Frenchman does look to be a doubt this weekend as well. Howe confirmed on Friday that he has not trained: “Maxi hasn’t trained yet with us but we’re hoping he does today.
“We’ll have to make a decision based off how he looks and how is injury status is after the session. Other than that, we’re as we were pre-Brentford.”

Newcastle vs Brighton
Newcastle head into the Brighton game in superb form. The North East outfit were able to go unbeaten through the month of February. This marks a stark contrast from the rest of the season where they had managed to pick up just one win.
Such fine form had seen Newcastle climb out of the relegation zone and up to 14th in the Premier League table with 25 points – just 15 away from the magic 40 mark.
However, despite being 14th, Newcastle are currently just four points from safety, meaning they cannot really afford to drop any points vs a Brighton side who have lost three on the bounce.
