‘The Last of Us’ Episode 6 Editing Error Spotted by Viewers

As Game Of Thrones And The Mandalorian before that, The last of us maintains a high-profile TV series tradition: things appear in shots that shouldn’t be there.

It’s not as unforgivable as plastic items and modern drinks in the battered final season of Game of Thrones. In this case, it’s the people. Human film crew appearing in a shot of episode 6 from the hit HBO series starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.

Scott T. Jones first drew attention to the error on Twitter on Tuesday. (The episode aired on HBO on Sunday.)

Look on the left side of the image, near the middle and bottom. You can see dark silhouettes, a film crew, standing among the snowy trees.

If you need to check out the episode shot, it’s an extremely wide shot of Ellie and Joel crossing a bridge. Scroll to 13:11 and CSI zooms in and enhances a hundred times in the bottom left corner.

When a a cup of coffee was left in a shot from season 8, episode 4 of Game of Thrones, HBO was quick to edit it. In season 2, episode 4 of The Mandalorian, a member of the team nicknamed “Jeans Guy” — he wears jeans and stands barely visible in the background of a shot — was also quickly removed.

Maybe The Last of Us will take the same path?
