The issue holding up Newcastle’s move for Hugo Ekitike
A fresh insight into Newcastle’s attempts to sign Hugo Ekitike have been provided on Monday afternoon.
101 have already covered reports on Monday morning that claimed the Magpies had an offer between £20m and £25m for Ekitike accepted by Stade Reims.
However, Keith Downie of Sky Sports News reported that time might be against Newcastle to get a deal done for Ekitike.

Now, a further insight into what is holding the deal up has been forthcoming.
The update comes via Craig Hope of the Daily Mail. Hope reports that personal terms are not the issue when it comes to a deal for the forward.
Instead, it is whether Hugo Ekitike is ready to make a big move abroad at this moment.
Hope adds that decision time will be fast approaching, given the logistics of the transfer and the fact it is deadline day:

Should a deal be completed, Ekitike will be Newcastle’s 4th signing of January and their second striker of the window after Chris Wood joined from Burnley.
