Maguire and Shaw limp out of Villa clash
It was a disaster of an encounter between Manchester United and Aston Villa. Not only did the Villians take all three points courtesy of a Kortney Hause header, but Bruno Fernandes missed a last-minute penalty.

To add further insult to injury, both Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw limped out of the clash with injuries as the Red Devils slumped to consecutive defeats for the first time this season.
The latest on England duo
Speaking to the media ahead of the Red Devil’s clash with Villareal, who defeated them in the Europa League final last campaign, Solskjaer was asked about the fitness of the England pair, and, in Maguire’s case, was not positive.
The United boss revealed that his captain was set to be out for “a few weeks” as a result of the calf injury he picked up against Aston Villa.
However, he was more positive on the condition of Luke Shaw, saying that his left-back “has a chance” to be involved against the Spanish side.

It is a game that Manchester United must get a result from, following two sub-par results on the bounce.
OGS: “If you have one or zero points from two games, you need four wins. It is a very important game.”

It is something evidently recognised by the Red Devils boss, who said:
“If you have one or zero points from two games, you need four wins. It is a very important game.”
Without Maguire, however, is Varane acclimatised enough to command the United defence, and can he and Victor Lindelof strike up an effective partnership to combat their captain’s absence?
