Four-time Olympic Gold medallist and seven-time Grand Slam champion, Venus Williams, has inspired generations within and outside sports. Moreover, at 40 years of age, she remains one of the fittest athletes as she passionately drives her professional career ahead.

During the hard lockdown last year when quarantine was new, Venus had come forward with plenty of stay active exercises. They indeed helped many to cut down the physical ailments of unprecedented times.

That is why, on Olympic Day, the world’s biggest sporting event celebrated Venus Williams for her contributions. And also, they gave a throwback to her quarantine routine.

Chiefly, the 40-year-old American has always hailed the significance of mental strength and physical fitness as an athlete. So, such an honor would undoubtedly have brought her immense joy.

Olympic Day is celebrated every year on June 23 to acknowledge the role of physical sporting activities. This year, the Games dedicated the day to one of the most successful athletes at the Olympics, Venus Williams.

Additionally, since the theme of Tokyo Olympics 2020, starting July 24, 2021, is ‘Stronger Together,’ her quarantine bit fits rightfully into the occasion. But what keeps her going forward so steadily?

“I reset and refocus because there’s still more I want to do… achieve,” Venus said. “I think I’ve always been future-looking and not necessarily stuck in the moment, whether it was a win or a loss.”

Furthermore, the 5-time Wimbledon champion has the most crucial month of her season standing ahead. She would be looking forward to make a considerable difference at the Championships and then at Tokyo Olympics.

Venus’s 2021 season so far

Tennis-wise, the veteran American hasn’t had much success this year. Out of nine tournaments so far, Venus has a 2-7 win-loss record on the women’s tour.

However, the coming month could show the best of the elder Williams sister. Last year, Venus crashed out against young American aspirant Coco Gauff in the opening round of the Championships.

Her latest best result at Wimbledon came in 2017 when she lost to Garbine Muguruza in the final.
