Tecno is looking to partner with an established lens maker for future products

Tecno has quickly become one of the top 10 smartphone brands in the world and more recently revealed that its ambitions to enter the high-end market are no secret you might not have noticed. that the company is also positioning itself as a leader in smartphone camera innovation. And he’s looking to partner with some of the big names in the photography industry to take it to the next level.
We spoke with Mr. Laury, Marketing Director of Tecno, on the occasion of the launch of the Phantom X2: “For the Phantom X2 series, we consulted with professional photographer Rankin. He is well known for taking portraits of people like The Queen and many Hollywood celebrities. He gave us valuable insights and recommendations on how to create the best portrait camera: “.
The end result is one of the best portrait cameras we’ve tested to date – one with a quirky pop-up design, which combines a large sensor and large aperture that result in lovely natural bokeh without the computer gimmick.
This camera is found on the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro, which we recently reviewed. But Tecno does not stop there. The company has confirmed that it is in talks with established lens manufacturers for future product development.
Tecno didn’t mention any names, but we’ll no doubt hear more about them in the coming months. Hasselblad, Leica and Zeiss are already partnered with smartphone makers so we can rule them out, but there’s no shortage of big names remaining.
