McGregor’s first professional MMA loss came at the Cage of Truth event in the first round. ‘Notorious’ lost that fight against Artemij Sitenkov via a first-round submission via kneebar. This was just McGregor’s 3rd professional fight and as a 20-year-old he was rather inexperienced at that time.

Following this loss, McGregor himself won two consecutive fights via 1st round TKO. However, in his 6th professional MMA fight at Cage Warriors 39: The Uprising, ‘Notorious’ lost in the first round again. McGregor lost the fight to Joseph Duffy via submission (arm-triangle choke).
