
Surface Oppo A78 5G unofficial unboxing video online; Price in India, design, specifications

The launch of the Oppo A78 5G in India will take place on January 16. Oppo has already teased the design of the phone and some of its specifications have already been known since its launch in the Malaysian market. In a new update, an Oppo A78 5G unboxing video has been uploaded to YouTube which gives a hands-on look at the design, as well as suggests its price and specs. In the video, the Oppo A78 5G is seen with a dual rear camera setup. The Indian variant of the phone is also said to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. It could be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support.
A Youtube channel named Gadgets Point (Hindi) posted an unboxing video of the Oppo A78 5G. According to the video, the handset will cost Rs. 19,000 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant in India.
The video shows the retail box of the handset which includes a transparent case, charger, USB Type-C to 3.5mm adapter, documentation, SIM eject tool and the smartphone itself. The phone resembles the model that was launched in Malaysia last year.
The video shows the blue color variant of the Oppo A78 5G with a two-tone design. The volume rockers are arranged on the right spine of the handset while the power button is visible on the left spine. It has a center-aligned teardrop-style cutout on the screen. The speaker grille, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port and SIM tray are placed at the bottom.
The Oppo A78 5G is said to run on ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 and has a 6.56-inch (720 x 1612 pixels) IPS HD+ LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate. in Malaysia, the alleged Indian variant shown in the video is also said to be powered by the 7nm-based MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC.
On the back, the Oppo A78 5G is seen with a dual-sensor camera module. The camera setup is said to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel sensor. Additionally, there’s also a front-facing 8-megapixel snapper. It seems to have a side fingerprint sensor for authentication. Moreover, the smartphone is said to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support.
Oppo has already announced that the Oppo A78 5G will be launched in India on January 16. The company is yet to announce details of pricing and availability of the handset in the country.
