Stranger Things 4 Volume 1 Final Trailer Ahead of May 27 Release

The final trailer for Stranger Things 4 Volume 1 has been released. On Monday, Netflix released the final one-minute trailer for the first part of Stranger Things 4, previewing what fans of the series can expect from the penultimate season. The trailer begins with Max (Sadie Sink) stranded in the Upside Down. This eerie scene is followed by various clips of the now estranged gang, each tackling their own issues. Previously presumed dead, Hopper (David Harbour) has apparently been transported to a Russian prison, which may be a hunting ground for a Demogorgon. The trailer scored over half a million views within a day of its release.

The trailer remains vague, avoiding highlighting any of the major story beats of the fourth season of Stranger Things. Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) can be seen trying to give normality a chance in California. Back in Hawkins, the rest of the gang are playing a dangerous game of Dungeons & Dragons.

Stranger Things co-creator Ross Duffer recently hinted that Stranger Things 4 would rely heavily on the series’ horror elements. Duffer expressed that the nine episodes of the fourth season are “very long”, which may be the reason for the three-year gap between the third and fourth seasons.

In related news, leaked footage of a Monopoly tie-in game has reportedly revealed some key plot points for this upcoming season. The creators of Stranger Things, the Duff brothers, would not even have been consulted for this rapprochement which would have supposedly “collapsed”.

Stranger Things 4 Volume 1, which consists of seven episodes, will be released on Netflix on May 27. Volume 2 with the remaining two episodes is scheduled to arrive on July 1.
