‘Still doesn’t care’: Tottenham fans continue to take aim at key man despite Vitesse win
The Tottenham Hotspur faithful have taken to social media in their droves on Thursday night, to take aim at star man Harry Kane.
Son amongst the goals
Spurs were of course back in action a short time ago.
In the club’s first outing on the back of Nuno Espirito Santo’s dismissal and the ensuing appointment of Antonio Conte, the Lilywhites got their Europa Conference League campaign back underway, in a meeting with Dutch outfit Vitesse.
Conte’s men headed into proceedings aware that nothing but a victory would suffice, in their bid to keep the club’s continental campaign alive beyond the turn of the year.
And, when all was said and done, despite making things as difficult as possible for themselves, this is what Tottenham managed.
After surging out into a 3-0 advantage courtesy of Heung-min Son, Lucas Moura and a Vitesse own goal inside the opening half hour, the hosts looked well on their way to a comfortable three points:

Vitesse, however, soon came roaring back, pulling not one, but two goals back before the interval.
In the end, though, the comeback efforts of the visitors came up short, as a trio of 2nd-half dismissals (one for Spurs, two for Vitesse) failed to make a telling impact on a 3-2 final scoreline.
‘Not interested’
Despite their side’s eventual victory, however, it should come as little surprise to hear that the Tottenham faithful are not exactly jumping for joy on Thursday night.
The capital outfit, in truth, should have waltzed to a resounding result versus Vitesse, only to characteristically make matters as complicated as possible, in front of their new boss.
Whilst a whole host of the Lilywhites’ stars failed to impress, though, one player in particular has been singled out for more widespread criticism than any other.
The man in question? Harry Kane.
Hitman Kane struggled throughout proceedings once again this evening, failing to link up play or display any form of consistent goal threat.
And such struggles have see the English international targeted in ruthless fashion post-match, with just some of the highlights from across social media showcased below:
Harry Kane has downed tools and thrown the toys out of the pram. If it was anyone else or someone as high profile as him, the english media would be all over it! Ridiculous how biased they are towards the darling! #HarryKane #totVIT

Sell Kane in the January window and get Conte the players he wants. Too many players stealing a living on this team.

Kane an absolute disgrace of a player

Conte being on the bench seems to have a few players ‘over playing’ to try to show off. They should be more like Kane, who is still playing like he doesn’t give a solitary shit. #totVIT
