‘Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures’ gets May release date on Disney Plus

Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures will premiere on Disney+ and Disney Junior on May 4, Lucasfilm said Thursday. The all-ages animated series arrives as fans celebrate Star Wars Day 2023 (aka May 4).
It is fixed for the High Republic era, set over 200 years before the Skywalker saga seen in the movies, and follows young Jedi as they learn the ways of the Force. They’ll study with Master Yoda, who looks relatively fresh compared to the 900-year-old man we meet in The Empire Strikes Back.
In a statement, executive producer James Waugh noted that Young Jedi Adventures is the “first Star Wars series created for preschoolers.”
“The characters, tone, and life lessons woven throughout each episode were written just for them, and our talented team is committed to honoring the cinematic legacy while staying true to parents’ expectations for the most young audiences,” he said.
Yoda teaches young Jedi Kai, Lys, and Nubs while Nash and RJ-83 watch on planet Tenoo.
