As Adam Masina pulled up with an injury off the pitch, players were frantically gesturing for another injury, this time among the supporters.

Amazon Sport reported that a member of the public suffered a heart attack in the opening minutes, and was receiving CPR from both sets of medical staff, as well as emergency services on the scene.

Fortunately, the news on his situation was good.

The Telegraph report that the fan has been stabilised and will be taken to hospital (next door to the stadium).

Another issue in the Premier League

And now, another medical emergency has delayed the Premier League clashes, this time at St Mary’s stadium.

Southampton took a 2-1 lead into the half-time break, courtesy of goals from Che Adams and Jan Bednarek, answered by one from Leicester’s Johnny Evans.

However, the game took a more serious turn during the break, with a fan suffering a medical emergency, described on Amazon prime as a cardiac arrest.

*Note: this has since been described as otherwise, a collapse rather than a cardiac arrest*

Medical staff were quick onto the scene, and the patient was taken out of the stadium.

101 wishes the fan involved a speedy recovery.
