Sony Xperia 5 V appears on Geekbench with 16 GB of RAM

Sony’s compact flagship Xperia 5 series is about to get a new member, a new Geekbench listing reveals. It also reveals some of the specs of the upcoming phone.

Geekbench 5 List

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the device runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, but the listing also confirms that Sony is readying a 16GB RAM variant. It will match the iQOO 11 Pro and OnePlus 11 among a number of other recently launched phones with 16GB of RAM.

Back to the benchmark list itself, the Xperia 5V shows similar performance to other Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered handsets we’ve tested, despite being in its early development phase. We can also see the model number of the phone, which is XQ-DQ72 and will help us identify it in future leaks.
