Sony Xperia 10 V leak showing familiar design

Sony’s mid-range Xperia 10 IV was announced last May and released in June, so we’d naturally expect the Xperia 10 V to take its place at some point over the next few months. Today a bunch of high quality CAD renders of the upcoming model have been leaked by a traditionally reliable source.
If you were expecting a new design over the 2022 model, you’re pretty disappointed. The Xperia 10 V shown in these images has exactly the same design language as the Xperia 10 IV, down to the positioning of the buttons, the size and shape of the camera island and the positioning of the LED flash .
The dimensions are eerily similar too, although not identical. The Xperia 10 V measures 153.3 x 68.4 x 8.5mm, while the Xperia 10 IV came in at 153 x 67 x 8.3mm. Suddenly the new one has taken on a tiny bit of fat on all sides. The 2023 model retains the 2015 era top and bottom bezels, no teardrop notches or perforations allowed.
The big novelty of the 10 V would be the fact that it will be the first of the 10 series to have stereo speakers. Yes, really, even the 10 IV cannot boast of such a feat. Its screen is rumored to be “about 6.1-inches diagonally”, which is just a tiny bit larger than its predecessor’s 6-inch panel, and could also explain the small increase in size.
